The Safety Assessment Federation is a high profile Trade Association representing the independent engineering inspection industry.It works with and influences both local and central government, in a regulated industry, and liaises with other government authorities and agencies, trade associations and professional engineering institutions to promote better workplace safety standards.
Due to retirement, an opportunity has now arisen for a proven Chief Executive to manage a small office team and oversee the day-to-day operation of the association and deliver its strategic vision.Reporting directly to the Chairman and main board of Directors your remit will be to further enhance the profile of the body through effective leadership of its activities.
Commercially astute and with extensive senior management experience, the ideal candidate will have a background in Engineering/Manufacturing and be able to demonstrate a successful track record in management, with highly developed communication and influencing skills. The candidate would be qualified to degree standard, preferably in an Engineering discipline with Chartered Engineer status, and, ideally, some knowledge of health and safety legislation. The role has the full backing of its prestigious membership and will offer the successful applicant a genuine opportunity to interact at a strategic level with government and industry operators.
