ABB has invested in a fleet of VSDs across the United Kingdom and Ireland, with units extending from 3 kW up to several megawatts. Hire drives can be delivered the same day, and installed and commissioned within a matter of hours by engineers from one of 12 ABB contractors.
Units available include the ABB general purpose drive, ABB machinery drive and ABB industrial drive.
According to ABB, the systems are intended for cases such as emergency or unexpected failure, temporary capacity, for prove-out of a new process, and for equipment testing.
Drives are hired at a fixed daily rate (minimum hire period may apply), which includes installation and maintenance for the duration of the hire. The ABB network contractors can be found via the link below.
