Atlas Copco Nederland has acquired Dutch firm Cirmac International, which specialises in biogas upgrading plant for the renewable energy industry.
The company, which also supplies gas treatment equipment for oil, gas and chemical plants, is being seen as a significant addition – particularly in the UK, where Atlas Copco is best know for its high-pressure compressors and nitrogen generation equipment.
"The acquisition of Cirmac brings innovative developments in … gas treatment and biogas upgrading systems to Atlas Copco," comments Atlas Copco UK managing director Leen van Diggele, "and it will enable us to extend our offer of sustainable, renewable energy solutions."
