Automation control systems specialist Denca Controls is to supply the E&I controls for the new IPB2 facility, designed by laboratory clean room specialist T Squared for chemicals firm SAFC in Irvine, Scotland.
The project is to build and automate a cell culture media, reagents and buffer solutions manufacturing system, including CIP (clean in place) and filling system.
Denca will be designing and building the E&I system and control panels, covering motor controls, PLC and instrument controls, along with remote I/O, solenoid, HMI panels and associated system software and validation documentation to GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practices) standards.
It will also handle all installation, testing and commissioning.
