The legendary ultra-precise Rosemount 3051S multi-variable process transmitter is now available in wireless format, designed to directly measure two process pressure variables from one installation.
Emerson makes the point that users can gain greater process insight from the single measurement point, while also minimising installation costs via the wireless approach.
As with its conventional predecessor, the 3051S transmitter measures differential and static pressure (true gauge or absolute), so minimising pipe penetrations and impulse piping, and the associated costs.
The system works with WirelessHART digital communications, and Emerson says that users can expect a decade of maintenance-free performance with a 10-year stability specification.
