Static sealing products manufacturer Flexitallic and sealing and industrial hose distributor Sealex have centralised their operations in Aberdeen, and increased local manufacturing content.
Both companies are members of the FDS Group, and Paul Marray, managing director of Sealex, says the new structure means that operators in the oil and gas sector will get faster response, better customer service, expert technical support and a greater range of gaskets and associated products.
"Through increased customer contact we will be able to look after the needs of the local market and supplement our current production capabilities accordingly," states Marray.
"By joining forces with Sealex we will bring together the world leading manufacturer of gaskets, and an established distribution network," adds Alex Lattimer, commercial director of Flexitallic.
"I am also very pleased to announce the creation of a dedicated gasket manufacturing facility for Aberdeen, which will provide customers with immediate gasket supply in this demanding market."
