Flir's i5 troubleshooting infrared camera, which saw prices fall to £1,595 in June, has now been further reduced to £1,330.

The company says it is passing on cost savings due to increased manufacturing volumes, resulting from the thermal camera's popularity.
Either way, it's a good price reduction for a camera that's usable for a wide range of mechanical, electrical and plumbing applications in domestic, commercial and industrial environments.
Weighing less than 340g it has an 80 x 80 pixel IR resolution and a thermal sensitivity of 100mK that provides a clear infrared image so that faults can be identified and remedial action taken.
