Following the December 2009 meeting of the European Machinery Working Group in Brussels,
EN 954-1's presumption of conformity to the Machinery Directive has been extended for a further two years.
The news means that EN 954-1 can be used in parallel with EN ISO 13849-1 and EN/IEC 62061 until 31 December 2011.
