Millers Oils officially opened its state of the art R&D centre in Brighouse, Yorkshire, last week (Tuesday 18 September), with energy efficiency and CO2 reduction high on the agenda.
Nevil Hall, joint managing director of Millers Oils, says the company has invested more than £500,000 in the new plant, which enables it to develop low friction oils that will, he believes, set new standards for efficiency.
"As a relatively small company, it is important that we develop innovative solutions to meet the challenges our customers face," states Hall.
"It's a testament to all the people who work here that we continue to punch above our weight."
Millers Oils was responsible for the introduction of Nanodrive oils, efficiency-boosting Solform gel and VSPe fuel additives, which, between them, are credited with almost trebling the firm's turnover in the last 11 years and its receipt of a Queen's Award for Enterprise this year.
