New mining drive to be unveiled at Hillhead

SEW Eurodrive says it will be unveiling its new mining drive at this year's Hillhead exhibition, 19–21 June, in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The new drive is available as a one-stop shop package service for plant engineers and includes a thermal housing so that no additional cooling is required. It is also certified to ATEX M2 for underground mining operations. Visitors will also be able to see a slewing drive with a high efficiency DRE motor, an RF97 in-line helical pre-stage gear head, and the latest P022 planetary gear head, complete with pinion lantern and drive pinion. The package includes a motor brake with a lockable manual release, thermistors, electronic encoder and a rain canopy. Other packages on show will include a twin calendar drive, with the company's X series gear units and IEC flange-mounted brake motors, thermistors, an electronic encoder, forced ventilation fans and diagnostic brake monitoring units.
