SEW Eurodrive says it will be unveiling its new mining drive at this year's Hillhead exhibition, 19–21 June, in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The new drive is available as a one-stop shop package service for plant engineers and includes a thermal housing so that no additional cooling is required. It is also certified to ATEX M2 for underground mining operations.
Visitors will also be able to see a slewing drive with a high efficiency DRE motor, an RF97 in-line helical pre-stage gear head, and the latest P022 planetary gear head, complete with pinion lantern and drive pinion.
The package includes a motor brake with a lockable manual release, thermistors, electronic encoder and a rain canopy.
Other packages on show will include a twin calendar drive, with the company's X series gear units and IEC flange-mounted brake motors, thermistors, an electronic encoder, forced ventilation fans and diagnostic brake monitoring units.
