Founded in Gothenburg in 1907, SKF supplies bearings for a range of industrial and automotive applications, as well as being a development partner with, and sponsor of, the Ferrari Formula One team.
Besides bearings, seals and power transmission products, SKF manufactures a wide range of industrial lubricants and lubrication systems, condition monitoring solutions, tools, and other maintenance products.
“By strengthening our already well-established business relationship with SKF through greater direct engagement, we intend to build a much broader product portfolio to offer to our customers,” says Kristian Olsson, VP of Industrial Automation and Control at RS. “Our increased commitment will make our SKF offer the strongest available on a pan-European basis.”
Michael Crean, director of Industrial Sales for South West Europe at SKF, adds: “With this agreement, we clearly recognise the strength of RS within the distribution business. Its combination of digital and field sales capabilities delivers additional value and complements our existing partners well. Working more closely with RS will enable SKF to reach a broader customer base in a wider range of markets.”
