Endress+Hauser’s Field Xpert SMT70 is a ruggedised tablet computer that allows workers to create a mobile workstation in the field, even in Ex Zone 2 areas.
The SMT70 comes pre-installed with device configuration software and over 3,000 device drivers. The tablet is said to work with virtually every modern field instrument and can connect to Endress+Hauser devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It is compatible with Heartbeat Technology to carry out inline verification and can be partnered with the Netilion Library service to automatically upload configuration reports, pictures and device data and share files.
In addition, for support with commissioning, troubleshooting or maintenance, the device’s GoTo Assist software allows an Endress+Hauser technician to access the instrument configuration remotely.
