A new tank washing nozzle, made from PTFE, which delivers a slow-moving, high impact spray action against internal surfaces of tanks and vessels, has been introduced by BETE.
The firm says that its HydroWhirl Poseidon provides for effective removal of scum rings or tougher residues, and is designed for cleaning and wash down in the food and beverage, general processing, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The clever bit is the head design, which provides reliable flow-through of water and cleaning solutions through a 360º omni-directional rotating head at the tip of the assembly.
BETE says that the combination of the spray pattern and the impact with a slow and nearly constant speed rotation, results in a targeted, effective cleaning action which quickly breaks up and washes away contamination.
