Cut energy losses from control air venting

Burkert's type 8690, 8691 and 8695 valve control heads solve the classic problem of wasteful control air venting associated with pneumatic tubing between process valve and solenoid valve.
They provide a decentralised method of opening and closing process valves automatically, with the control heads integrating electrical and pneumatic components as well as position feedback units. They are mounted directly above the valve body and, because there is little or no distance between the actuator and the pilot valve, there is no air bleed: it is sealed. Pressure feed goes directly into the valve head and the control signal is supplied either from a local closed loop control sensor or switch; or from a PLC via control bus wiring. Choosing the option of an embedded PID controller also provides a fast-acting, decentralised control loop with the process sensor. It also reduces complexity and saves on components and wiring costs.
