Emerson Process Management says its new Fisher Fieldvue DLC3020f fieldbus digital level controller provides new levels of performance and information access, to drive process improvement.

It features displacement sensor technology for measuring liquid level or the interface between two liquids, and can use process fluid temperature for density compensation, to maintain accuracy.
Foundation fieldbus communications is used for diagnostics and alerts, which the firm says makes it easy to configure, calibrate and test, using Emerson's AMS Suite software or 475 field communicator.
The instrument can also be integrated with new or existing control systems. Further, the system allows users to change process fluids on-the-fly, for batch or continuous applications, without calibration, saving time and recalibration costs.
And it stores up to 30 logs, including calibration, setup and process fluid data.
This is a replacement for pneumatic, analogue or HART transmitters/controllers.
