Monitran has produced a guide to aid plant engineers needing to choose the right LVDT (linear variable differential transformers) sensors.
The guide details Monitran's miniature, industrial and economy LVDTs, which, between them, have stroke lengths ranging from ±0.25 to ±550mm.
Selection criteria include mechanical and physical characteristics, such as construction material, assembly type, cable exit type, operating temperature range and sealing.
Electrical characteristics include degree of linearity and output type.
