Multi-parameter liquid analyser goes high-resolution

Gas Analyses
Reduced complexity of liquid analytical measurements is the promise from Emerson for its Rosemount Analytical Model 56 dual-input, eight-output liquid analyser.
The device features the industry's first high-resolution colour screen, offering everything from full-colour trend graphics to advanced control capabilities, built-in high capacity data logging, with audit trail event functionality, and digital communications. Emerson suggests that users in the power, water treatment, pharmaceutical and food processing sectors that require liquid analytical measurements and advanced controls will benefit most. It cites cooling tower, reverse osmosis, wastewater treatment and clean-in-place applications, and emphasises its new level of ease of use. "At the device and in the control room, the analyser delivers extensive information about the process and its own functioning that is vital to operational decisions," explains Dave Anderson, marketing director, Rosemount Analytical. The device also features Profibus and HART connectivity, and offers PID control and relay outputs for, for example, concentration control using high/low alarms, relay timers or time-proportional control and event-based activation. Measurements covered include pH, ORP, ISE (ion-selective electrodes), resistivity, conductivity, per cent concentration, total chlorine, free chlorine, monochloramine, dissolved oxygen, gaseous oxygen, dissolved ozone, turbidity, pulse flow and temperature.
