Products4Automation's so-called Pilot OEE-Lite, from production data specialist Felten, is a low cost OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) module said to enable plants on limited budgets to monitor performance without buying full MES solutions.
The software enables users to benchmark and record production data, analyse it and then use the information to drive plant improvements that will impact OEE, before moving on to full TPM (total productive maintenance).
OEE-Lite is designed for easy interface to MESs (manufacturing execution systems), SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems and PLCs.
Paul Hurst, managing director of P4A, cites parameters including downtime, machine utility, productivity, trends, energy usage, output levels, efficiency and part production as key measurable for display on standard PCs.
The module includes a Pilot I/O server and one line licence for up to 15 machines. It provides predefined reports and KPI sets, KPI management and a workflow engine.
