A cheque for more than £50,000 has been presented to the British Paralympic Association – the sum being raised by EDF Energy's Central Technical Organisation (CTO) Charity Cycle Challenge.
Maintenance, repair and overhaul engineering specialist Brammer sponsored the event, contributing £2,000.
The cheque was received by paralympic athletics sportsman John McFall, a medal-winning athlete who took bronze in the T42 100m in the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
"We were delighted to help sponsor EDF Energy's challenge, and the tremendous amount raised is a testament to the hard work of the EDF Energy employees," comments Jeremy Salisbury, head of marketing at Brammer, who attended the presentation.
The three-day challenge consisted of a team of 30 EDF Energy employees embarking on a 205 mile cycle ride from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the EDF Energy London Eye.
