Flows from 0.2l/min up to 760lit/min can now be achieved using Viking external gear pumps, from Michael Smith Engineers.

Its range now features 29 models and new SG high pressure positive displacement versions include models rated for maximum continuous pressures up to 34bar and maximum intermittent pressures up to 172bar.
Michael Smith Engineers says the units are designed for reliability and minimal maintenance, with, for example, shaft movement being minimised to extend seal life, while radial movement and misalignment are prevented by close-coupled motor mounts, or outboard bearings for foot-mounted pumps.
Axial movement is also minimised by spur-type gears, instead of conventional helical gears, which can cause gear thrust on contact components. Also, the pumps incorporate anti-friction needle bearings to eliminate bearing wear at start-up and shutdown.
