A new concept in environmental monitoring, gas detection and machine condition monitoring has been unveiled by Trolex.
Dubbed Sentro 8, it is an integrated multi-purpose sensing station, configurable for all these requirements, without complex system design or the involvement of multiple specialist providers.
The system, which has now received ATEX certification for use in hazardous area applications, uses interchangeable sensing modules that can be networked to a master station and expanded as required.
Trolex describes it as a breakthrough, not least because it means that sensors, controllers, alarms and other systems can all be integrated relatively easily.
Each Sentro 8 can monitor the up to eight gases or a combination of condition monitoring sensors, temperature, ventilation, air velocity or any selection of remote connected sensors.
