SKF says its latest field-mounted, wireless condition monitoring device has been developed to provide early fault detection and prevention for a range of plant types.

Multilog WMx is compact and battery-powered, with eight channels that communicate via industry standard LAN wireless networks using existing computer equipment.
It collects acceleration, velocity, displacement, temperature and bearing condition data and automatically uploads it for data analysis in SKF's @ptitude software.
It also carries ATEX Zone 2 certification and SKF says costs are significantly less than those associated with traditional wired systems.
