A synchronous belt drive, from Eriks, is described as an all-rounder, for arduous applications needing maximum power transmission as well as resistance to aggressive environments.

Called Conti Synchrochain, it's also being styled as a credible alternative to chain drives, because no lubrication is required.
Most important, though, this is not a noisy belt that will wear out pulleys: it is quiet, due its CTD profile and engineered surface.
It is resistant to moisture, temperatures between -40°C and +100°C, and has very good chemical stability.
